2008 brought a successful year for the progress of V12.NET. Some important milestones have been achieved, such as finishing the year with 75 clients either Live on V12.NET or in the Installation Process, heading towards going Live.
During the course of the year, we added four new team members to the Client Care/ Support and Installation Team. In addition to that, we completely revamped the installation process from a 29-Step Process to a 4-Module Training and Installation Process, allowing Clients and the Installation a more seamless process.
Most importantly, the Development Team saw positive changes, allowing V12.NET to continue receiving enhancements and development by bringing in a number of new team members.
Development Changes
To further elaborate on the critical changes made to V12.NET at a code level, some development enhancements included:
- Revamping the code layers to remove a significant amount of redundancy. In turn, this provides a significant performance benefit.
- Replaced the ‘Menu System’ with a more efficient product to provide for future functionality and increased performance.
Product Feature Enhancements
V12.NET has always been a very feature rich system. However, this has not stopped us in continuing to add even more features that are relevant to the industry today. During 2008, we were able to implement the following major feature enhancements:
- Fully Customizable Rate Categories
- Promotion Based Rates (AAA, AARP, etc.)
- Net Wholesaler/Tour Operator Rates
- Tax Inclusive Rate Functions
- Remote Call Accounting Interface, even for Hosted Systems
- Real Estate Commission Reporting System
- New Reservation Reporting enhancements
- Electronic Document Signing capabilities
- Group Reservation enhancements
- Integration with the Instant Analysis reporting system
- More than 50 enhancements to existing reports
Installation and Training Processes
In addition to development work, we have made significant changes to the installation and conversion process, which enables clients to move more quickly into the V12.NET system. The process of installation is much more streamlined and focused on the challenges that all clients face when changing software systems.
Our new, modular approach allows the client to see the process in its entirety. Our team of highly skilled and experienced professionals are there every step of the way, not only to train the client, but to assist them with all the challenges involved in changing systems.
The new processes include:
- Highly focused training modules.
- Comprehensive training outlines showing the roadmap to successful training, and also providing clients with a full understanding of the sessions and follow up work required.
- Project monitoring to ensure that the installation is on track and follows a projected timeline.
- Selective data conversion from all Instant Software products. The key to data conversion is to bring the right amount of quality data into the system at the right time, which enables clients to maximize their time.
