Founded in 1980 by Paul Breaux, Sun Realty had humble and soon-not-forgotten memories of starting in a trailer at the site of the current Kill Devil Hills office. They have grown over the years into the largest property management and real estate company on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In Sun Realty’s first year, they had 3 employees and 35 rental properties. Through the loyal support of their guests, property owners and clients, Sun has since grown to 7 locations spanning the entire Outer Banks.
They now represent the largest selection and variety of vacation rental properties on the Outer Banks, managing more than 1,300 properties. Over 18,000 families choose to vacation with them every year and they are delighted with the support everyone has shown, allowing the success they have achieved. To support the large number of properties, they employ over 100 year-round team members and during the summer, Sun Realty has over 500 employees!
A family owned and operated company, Founder Paul Breaux still serves as the CEO. His daughter, Ali Breaux, is President, and Senior Vice President of Property Management, Janice Farr, just celebrated 24 years with the company!
