Customer Spotlight: Resort Property Management

Resort Property Management, owned by Tim and Sally Ryan and formerly known as Golden Eagle Management, is a full service management company located in the beautiful mountains of Big Sky, Montana. Big Sky is known for its skiing in winter, but it is also host to a variety of outdoor adventures and activities in the summer months, as well. General Manager Susie Leach says that summer is perfect for golf, hiking, rafting, fly fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking and more.

They are also close to Yellowstone National Park, rounding out activities perfect for a fun filled family vacation. This “well kept secret,” as Susie refers to the area she has called home for nearly 30 years, is also home to wildlife such as elk, moose, big horn sheep, and boasts great restaurants.

Susie Leach and her staff are long time users of First Resort Software. “We are so happy with it,” she says, “FRS is a real work horse.” Susie has used the software since 1989 and says she can do it in her sleep.

Resort Property Management manages a mix of 120 homes, condos and a hotel with 29 rooms – all managed on AVMain. Over the years, they have modernized their technology, adding online bookings and now working with Channel Partners through ISILink. Susie says that the online booking function is working well on their new web site, which was launched last year.

At the same time, they made a change in their marketing strategy, incorporating some of the Channel Partners. “It was a little slow to start, but we are really reaping the benefits now,” Susie says of working with Channel Partners such as LeisureLink.

While they are so happy with their First Resort Software, and also realize that a DOS program has its limitations. Resort Property Management was one of the early companies to purchase V12.NET and after watching its development and waiting for the right time, they are now ready to make the move to V12.NET in the coming year. Susie is confident that once the software has all the features they need that it will be as good for them as First Resort has been for so many years.
