Mana Kai Maui is located just steps away from the soft sands of Keawakapu Beach along Maui’s fabled Sun Coast. They have been in operation since 1989 after merging with another vacation rental management company that has been on the island since 1973. Mana Kai Maui offers a very unique vacation rental experience that operates like a more like a hotel or resort. They give guests all the comforts of a home, such as  fully-equipped kitchens and private lanais, while also providing the luxury of amenities that come with resorts, such as an award-winning restaurant, outdoor pool, and daily maid service.  

 

Prior to merging, the two previous management companies operated their business and reservations from two different DOS- based programs, Theos and Instant Software’s First Resort. In addition, they also found there was only one person on island that could fix issues in the Theos program.  Knowing this was a problem for them, both are older platforms, and they needed only one system in place, Mana Kai Maui had the desire to update their property management solution. They agreed that they wanted to continue with Instant Software as a provider to take them to the next level of technology and chose to install V12.NET. 

 

Winston Chinn, Operations Manager of Mana Kai Maui said, “There was only one company we would go with and it is Instant Software. We heard that there are great report functions in V12.NET and that it is all automated. This was really important for us!” 

 

Mana Kai Maui has been using V12.NET since July 2009 and has had a positive experience with the training, installation and overall use of the program. 

 

"Having a web based system, we can log into V12 anywhere we have Internet Access," Chinn said. "Coming from a DOS based  program, one of our main requirements we a system that would take us beyond the future. From the system we were previously using, the difference is like night and day."
